BFC Baseball played Saturday, June 10th at Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest in the MHSAA Regional 22 tournament. The Ventures first game was against Detroit Central. The Venture bats continued to produce as they put up 17 runs on Detroit Central. The story of the day though was Jonathan Hubanks who threw 3 innings of no-hit ball in the 17-1 win. The 2nd game saw Bishop Foley Catholic face off against Almont. Ethan Hoffman pitched a strong game for the Ventures allowing only 1 hit in 5 innings of shut-out baseball. The rest of the team did their job by providing the run support. Chase Gearing had two hits including a solo shot in the 4th inning and Mason Minzey followed suit with a 2 run monster homer over the right field wall. Mason again delivered in the bottom of the fifth as his double between left center drove in the final 2 runs in the 11-0 victory. Evan Finegan, Max Stevenson, and Evan Ludwick all had excellent days at the plate. The team now advances to the quarterfinal round of play as they face Riverview Gabriel Richard the winner of Division III Regional 21. The game is Tuesday, June 13th at Carleton Airport.  First pitch is set for 4:30 PM.
