BFC Baseball played Saturday, June 3rd at Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest in the MHSAA District 87 tournament. The Ventures first game was against Madison Heights Madison. The Venture bats came alive as they put up 16 runs on the Eagles.  Evan Finegan had a double and a home run. Chase Gearing added a 2 run homer in the win. Ethan Hoffman pitched the shut-out for the Ventures and helped them advance to the District Finals game against the host Crusaders. Justin Campbell pitched a one hit shut-out but the story was the bats. 3 more Ventures hit home runs including Max Stevenson, Evan Finegan (his 2nd on the day) and a 3 run shot by Santos Guzman. The Ventures outscored their opponents 31-0 on the day as they defeated Madison 16-0 and Lutheran Northwest 15-0. The Ventures captured their 2nd consecutive District title and with the two wins the team advances to Regionals. They will be back at Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest as they face the winner of the Detroit Central District on Saturday June 10th at 10 AM.
